No there isn't, but mine does not do that.

Mine chimes when it dips under 5 degrees, the frost symbol appears, but it will not chime again unless the temp raises above 5 and then drops back below in the same journey, or if I restart and the temp is <5. It does not repeat the chime everytime it drops a degree Confused

My 05 one chimed at start up when frosty and then each time it dipped below 5 degrees. The 08 one does not chimes at all ever when Mr Frosty comes out.
