Chip tuning again (sorry)
Hi guys, i am an Italian Forum section member (sorry for my english ).
I have founded this tuning company surfing the net: http://www.dieseltuner.co.uk/. What do you think about? Do you know it? I'm very confused in the sea of offerts presents in this market. This company offer a very detayled esplication of his product but .... it's true? Because i'm in Italy, i can't go for UK remap (TFC, JE, ecc.) and the italian products don't offer the same results; for this i'm looking for the best choice of plug'n box. It's very difficult.
Thanks in advance.

You could drive to the UK for a holiday to get a proper tune done here............
Or you could organise an Italian group-buy and ask TFC to come to you in Italy ?
IMO, Plug-in boxes have no place in the D3.The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

It wasn't a joke, a chap posted on here recently about a plug-in tuning box over fuelling his engine. It caused serious damage and voided the warranty.2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

Hi crazy,
check out celtic tuning bristol. They have done all of my cars (including D3) and I have been very happy with the results. They can provide a remote service based on the gizmo shown at: http://www.celtictuningbristol.co.uk/selftunesystems.htm
map is provided over email based on the original, and you can re-apply the map yourself.

Some of the site sponsors offer a remote remapping service based upon rebranded versions of the Alientech Powergate R device, but they are rather expensive, even including the 'forum discount'.
That said, if you're out of the UK and can't trust or get to a local supplier, then the remote re-mapping is a perfect solution.
Fantastic guy and very very good service. It has really made a difference to the D3 and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
Please listen to JMC and CFB - don't use a plug-in device. You won't save any money or get better results than with a proper remap. Your engine is also likely to live a lot longer too 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

I'm sure that they will be the same device....there are quite a lot of companies selling them.
As the devices are the same, the differences are only to be seen in the quality of the re-map (very very important) and the service that the company gives you (equally important if you have a problem).
In the case of rapidremap.co.uk I think the cost is 475 GBP including one custom map (meaning that it's based upon your original map and not a generic map).
I can't vouch for celtic tuning, but the guy I bought mine from was fantastic 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

If i were to choose a remap and i agree i dont have to , id choose a company who specialise in LandRovers and not a general tuning company.
Also a company who have been going for some time in the business of tuning.
I know CMD very very well, they are the leading manafacturer of tuning tools,
If you decide to go there for tuning tell Arturo or Jessica i sent you from Bell Autos and to make your car a spacial nice tune
On a different note , if you are intrested i will offer you a 14 day trial on my mapping, if you dont like my tuning ill refund your money and have the BAS remap interface collected at no cost to you.
