Chirping Noise

Coming from the engine bay at idle when stationary to approx 1100 when stationary then disappears.Only have noticed in the past day or so after cold starts and have forgotten to kep an ear out after a decent journey.I take it is a belt slipping or pulley/bearing on the way out.Anyone any ideas ?

Sound like the pulley/bearings. The belt slipping would be probably more noticeable than a chirp/squeak. Maybe a little squirt of WD40 might prove the issue on the pulley/bearing. Obviously not on the belt though Whistle

You should be able to pinpoint the area when ticking over

Could just be the belt slipping. I think you can get special stuff to spray on the belt?

Looks like it's bet pretensioner bearing on its way out.Gave it a good shot of oil , which had some success in that it quietens it after about 10 to 15 seconds from starting.

Theres a fair bit of vibration showing on the tensioner itself at idle.Is this normal or should it be rock solid , anyone ? Confused

That's what it looks like when it goes.
I didn't experience any noise with mine until it went.
Then it sounded like roller shutters being pulled up and down.
But I did manage to drive it all the way from Northumberland to home in North Yorks without it coming to bits.
