Don't you just love or hate JC! Being a sad ba***rd I have rejoined Amazon Prime - just to watch 'The Grand Tour' - it is a mildly amusing programme, for me, - but also nonsense and cr*p! 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

He seems to have caused a bit of a stir
Interesting, as he hasn’t said anything that hasn’t already been said on here regarding the D5, so not really too sure what part of that article has caused such a dislike of Jeremy Clarkson. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Pretty much. He has that one trait that I wont suffer in any man, that of arrogance.

I have a disco3 partly on the basis of the original review where he drove one up a mountain (leastways, that is why I bought my first D3 back in 2012).
Interestingly, I bought an XK X150 partly because of his review of one:
Also, many many years ago I bought a Jaguar x-type estate based on his review of one:
I still want to punch him in the face for being a cock womble...
(PS, I bought a Lexus NX300H as my "every day car". it arrives Friday. Most of the reason for buying that is I think Lexus make the best road-going "SUV" by a country mile. Also, one of my son's works there so have leveraged a difficult-to-refuse deal) D3 07 SE - still going strong
D3 07 HSE - gone to car heaven
FL1 - gone to Romania
D3 05 HSE - gone to a divorce diet
D1 V8 manual - gone but not forgotten
RR Classic - gone to car heaven
Jeeps, Lexus, X-trails... Too many to name..

With all that lot dotted around the showroom, who’s going to say, “Mmmm, yes, I’d like the stupid-looking Discovery, please”? ....

Much worse than D5 owners are discovery sport owners who infer ownership of a discovery.
"Yes yes, I have just bought a brand new discovery for my wife"
Errr... no you didn't. You bought a discovery sport, which is a toy, not a real car. D3 07 SE - still going strong

2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE G4 Challenge (1 of 68)
2023 Defender 90 D250 X-Dynamic HSE

I was joking of course....
G4 owners are odd, FFRR owners are snobs, DS owners should be shot and killed unless they are a SWMBO. D3 07 SE - still going strong
D3 07 HSE - gone to car heaven

Meanwhile the real solution will be a Discovery 5 mark II when LR have addressed all these shortcomings
