Cleaned the engine and the paint
Cleaning the engine was easy, no issues with starting it afterwards.

I'm not sure about the 2.7 Diesel ones, but you probably want to make sure the engine is pretty cool, if there's any aluminum. Cold water + hot aluminum= $$$$ in cracked stuff.
I'm assuming that the diesel has similar covers over stuff, if not just cover the alternator with a bag, then use low pressure water, get it wet, then spray a cleaner of you're choice (Simple Green is what I used here, Dish soap is great too when in a diluted spray bottle), get a brush. Let it soak...rinse, and dry. Keep some distance from the connectors. Then put a protectant on (I like Meguire's Ultimate Protectant).
grzesiul, don't they break regardless? Thanks guys!
