I think this is the right place for this kind of topic ???
Has anyone found a cleaner for the interior plastics that works ? ie drys without leaving streaks ? I use Autglym vinyl and rubber care cleaner but on the disco3 it is not so easy to get a good finish. Also tried Armor All Dashboard wipes but they dont work so well either!

Call me old fashioned, but I find an E Cloth (the green one) dampened with warm water works wonders. For day to day dust removal, these "Swiffer" style cloths are very effective. I'm sad and have to keep the inside of my TDV6 pristine.

Someone who uses an E cloth and/or swiffer is obviously not old fashioned - smacks of 'new age man', whats an E cloth anyway ? and where can I get one? 2004 Discovery 3 - gone

Have you ever tried to clean mud off of the plastic? You wipe it with a nice wet rag, and it looks good. Then, when it dries, it is as if you never cleaned it! Want to hear the real nightmare? Try rubbing sunblock on your arm, then rest your arm on the door for a while. You get this pink stain on the black plastic! And, the sun block being oily, it doesn't want to come off!
I have some armor all type stuff in a gallon jug. It is not armor all, but has the same consistency. It works wonders and leaves a nice black finish. A little oil residue left on the plastic will keep stuff from penetrating into the plastic. LR3 HSE

I find that mud comes off - but its oil and diesel that ruins the spong and doesnt come off with normal car wash soap.
Oil comes off with a quick wipe with tar remover or autoglym bumper care.

Have you tried peanut butter? I’m deadly serious – it works wonders on black plastic trim. The best thing is actually peanut oil, but it’s not the easiest of things to get your hands on, so peanut butter is a worthy substitute – you just wipe it on and rub it off.
Not sure how good it would be on the LR fascia, but watch out for monkeys, squirrels and elephants .

Whilst BN is chewing on his peanut butter, the red stain is probably just the effect of a sun filter and will come off with a good cleaner.
I find Mr Muscle multi-task works a treat on those difficult oily stains (especially peanut butter stains on your tie BN)

E-Cloth see http://www.enviroproducts.co.uk/index.asp?sid=8635465. Avaialable at all good hardware shops etc. The 'Swiffer' as I call them are also made by Pledge those things you put on a mop to take the dust off your laminate flooring.
