Cleaning Leather Seat with Leather Hide Cleaner

See before and after shots of drivers side boltser below. Really happy with the results. Used a new shoe polishing brush to apply and a rag (old cotton tshirt) to buff. Product was Auto Finesse Leather Hide cleaner, picked it up at NEC Classic Motor Show last November. I would allocate about 1hr per seat to do the full job. Trouble is as son as you've done one seat panel, it makes the others look crap so you end up having to do the whole lot.

Anyone else got any good cleaning tips/techniques for their seats?

Get yourself some hide food, wipe the seats down with leather wipes first to remove the initial grime. It's best to do this on a very hot day, apply hide food with soft cloth using circular motions, shut all doors and leave car to cook in the sun for a few hours.
Then apply conditioner.

Do you mean the Connoly stuff? Never thought of that. I even know where I can get some. Next time I visit my mum I'll rob the jar off the shelf and try it. She uses it for saddles and tack. [/quote]

That's the stuff but it doesn't have to be Connolly

Make sure the interior is really hot, you know these summer days when you've left the car in the sun and you open the door and the heat just hits you.

Laughing That's the heat you need
