clutch problems in D3. Firts time for me.

Hello, what I said in the title, for the first time I have problems in the clutch of my discovery3, obviously manual, MY06 with 275,000 km on the clock. It is the original clutch. The problem consists in a kind of knocking that is audible from outside the car and that only produces you halfway through the pedal, so that if you hold the pedal there, the pounding is constant. At the moment there is no slippage of the gears, the revolutions remain constant in the march, nor loss of calibration of the xy sensor, it could be this knocking by the rivets of the disc on the FLYWHEEL of the engine for having reached a level of critical wear ? Is this possible? Any idea or hypothesis will be well received. Thank you

Possibly the clutch release bearing or Duel mass flywheel. You've got good mileage (km) from your original clutch!

If the problem gets worse, it would make sense to replace the complete clutch (clutch plate, pressure plate and release bearing) and probably the flywheel as well.

Reading your description again I think it sounds very much like the clutch release bearing is failing.

Yes, if it is a clutch problem then the gearbox will have to be removed.
