Coffee anyone?
I’ve finally figured out where to keep all my Nespresso sleeves. I should have enough for 232 days at present allowance, plus what’s in the pots beside the machine.

They’ve got an offer at the mo, buy 400 capsules and get a free milk frothier. If you’re buying capsules anyway would be rude not to.

SWMBO’s trying to work out how she can use it for hot chocolate as I prefer “flat” coffee at the mo.

Of course they are recycled. Now I no longer drive a LR I’m saving da planet single handedly.
And no, a jar of Nescafé (or even Gold Blend) doesn’t do it and hasn’t done it for a long time now. Once you get used to real coffee instant is only for emergencies.

Pre Ground is not proper coffee
Beans that need a Grind is the way forward not bean to cup long story but if you cant degrease the grinder the penicillin build up is
Ken has nailed it, as usual . Grinder cleaning is a pain but well worth while. On the Jura I take mine apart every few weeks to give it a blow through and clean. It's pretty scary how much "penicillin" (we're being polite here) you find if you let it slip.
Bean to Cup are sold as low maintenance. The truth is, as with all things, a little preventative maintenance can go a long way
If you don't fancy taking your B2C machine apart, you can buy a product called Grindz that cleans and deburrs the grinder for you. I can't use it as it's made from cereals and I don't fancy espresso-induced anaphylaxis, but for most folk they're spot on.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

SWMBO and I were in the Liverpool ONE shop a couple of weeks ago, as she needed more capsules for the flat. Bought 200 capsules and learned that, by getting an extra 100, she could get a big discount on a new machine.
I said that was stupid as we have a machine in the flat and one in the house, so didn't need a new one. But she thought that it would make a good present for her parents.
The machine we picked (which came with the milk frother for cappucinos) cost £209.99. With the discount for the capsule purchase, we got it for £67.49. So the extra capsules 'cost' us -£103.50.
Present for in-laws from us - sorted. And kids can give the grandparents the frother.
