it's a Tata prompt to LRA to pull up their socks ?
There should have been V eights on SE at the launch too.

Hi All,
I put my screen heater on for the first time, this week. I was pleasantly surprised to see the water vapour rising from the external mirrors.
I don't think that I have a heated windscreen, however, as I have on my D1.
Best Wishes,
Peter

Is this the first time that you've noticed the heated mirrors working?
I'm asking because they are fully automatic and not related to the screen heaters or any other buttons. As soon as you turn the key to position II they start working. The Air Temperature Control unit turns them on and regulates the power going to them depending on the outside temperature and some other things....
They get turned on full whack during 1-3 minutes (again depending on outside temp) and then modulated on/off to keep them frost-free.... 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

Is the fitting of the cold weather pack possible after purchase? (or at least the heated seats parts of it)
I have a 2006 HSE which I have had for about a month or so. About the only thing it doesn't have are heated seats. My wife would be most pleased if the heated seats were able to be fitted. 2006 HSE TDV6, Silver, Alpaca inside, SAT/NAV 18inch wheels with General Grabber At2's; ARB winch bar
Previously Disco 2, 7 seats ACE etc.

Hi Neil,
The heated screen on my D1 was factory-fitted. Works brilliantly.

Hi PaulP,
Yes, it is the first time that I have seen the mirror heaters working. (Also the first time that I have felt the need to defrost the screen - I LOVE mild winters.)
Thanks for the correction re the mirror heaters operation.

Check under the seats you may find you have the seat elements in place already. I have an SE and have the wiring loom for the cold pack ( connector for pre heater under bonnet, connnectors under dash for screen and I think the seat elements as I have extra connnectors that are not for the air bag) You will need the aircon controls with the seat heater switch incorporated to make them work though. Ask Nick (AKA the large one) for a price or a US dealer may be cheaper with the exchange rate at the moment.
May need activation by dealer? but may be possible, I havn't bothered as I don't get to the snow often enough. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
