| Command shift/flappy paddles issue when headlights on |

As random as it sounds, my command shift/flappy paddles don’t work when I have my lights on sides/dips/mains.
It has taken me a while to get to this conclusion with a bit of fault finding but then randomly put 2+2 together and tested it out.
I did read the other day a post where someone had had a similar issue but for the life of me cant find it after searching but don’t think they came to a conclusion.
Anyone come across this before or any ideas what could cause it? I see plenty to do with the D3 but not the D4. Quote:The only other thing to throw in is that after searching and reading i see various posts about the illumination round the rotary, i do have some light but when in gear i don’t get a distinctive light on when its in P/R/D/S. Could it be connected?
Forget this regarding the illumination, it is there just very faint.

Getting codes read would be a good start, but if you don't have access to an iiD or similar you could start with a hard reset. .

Just been having another look. Down shift works fine…..only upshift seems to have the issue.
Is there any connection between the lights and the upshift side of things in the wiring loom?
