No different on Dartmoor teeming with people today that only turn up when it snows
none with any idea that its an unspoiled place of beauty
rubbish left behind and cars parked everywhere
the great unwashed as locals call them

DG, might it be a good idea to break down the Humour, Rants and Pointless Posts into it's constituent parts? This post, IMO, started in the Humour section but if you wish it moving towards the Pointless Posts...…………………

A chap from New Quay came to our house yesterday and said the same thing. Mad.

Today's observations......

I headed out early (07.00) for some essentials to local Tesco. There were more staff and door guards than customers, and I managed to get what I needed.

Then popped along to M&S Simply Food - not essential stuff, but elder son is 21 in a few days' time so wnated to get some decent Chinese stuff for what will be a very muted celebration. Plus the absolutely necessary packet of hot cross buns for SWMBO.

ANYWAY.... despite the car park being virtually empty, the Censored in the BMW STILL had to park in the parent & child space, then sit there with his engine running until the store opened, with the self-isolating queue breathing in his fumes.

And on the return home, saw a pedestrian with a face mask - only, the face mask was round her neck so she could have her fag.

May need to repeat the trip tomorrow for stuff for my mother if she needs it - and heeds the advice to stay indoors and doesn't go out and get stuff herself.... she lived through the blitz and tends to the view that things now aren't quite as bad as when Jerry was bombing and shooting us.
