Did anyone here see (or discuss) the US consumer reports car issue? The 2005 LR3 scored VERY badly with regards to reliability. Very disappointing.

The early US LR3's may of had similar 'teething' problems as I suspect were experienced worldwide. They are much better 2006 model on. There seems to be a tradition of poor results for LR but I believe they have turned a very sharp corner over the last year across the range
I personally tend to ignore the surveys because for me 'the proof is in the pudding' and after the excellent experiences with my 2 LR vehicles to date - why should I take notice?? Perhaps I have a low expectation threshold? and afterall I bought them knowing that there was the reliability cloud at the time.
That is not to say that the surveys don't have their place...the manufacturers have to sit up and listen to them...... which ultimately will result in imporvements in reliabilty. Which of course is good for all.

Mike, I never saw the report, but hows your LR3 doing now? I know you had some very nasty problems early on, like myself.
Mine is pretty good these days, and I have now got total confidence in the car. Have you had the enhancement program over there yet?
