Cookery Question - Dumplings

Wales 2005 Discovery 3 4.4 V8 HSE Auto Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3

We often do a big pot of stew, lasts several days, simply throw it on the Rayburn bring to a boil and throw the freshly made dumplings leave till done.

Just took it out the oven to see how it's coming along. Stew has now reached that lovely gooey consistency but because I used such big chunks for the beef and veg it hasn't gone completely to mush. Dumplings still soggy at the bottom, hopefully will continue to cook and firm up.

Time to open a Guinness shortly I think Question
