Hi Jack. Told me it was low a couple of times. Ever since then I check it every time I stop the car and most mornings when the engine is cold. Doesn’t seem to release the pressure until I loosen the cap. The coolant Bottle has been replaced recently. Then just last week I replaced the cap which seemed to temporarily fix the issue but it’s back again.

My daughter has a very similar issue with her mini. Pressure tested , no leak. Expansion bottle cap replaced. We've narrowed it down to a loss when the air con is used, so that is the next area for investigation. Worth a check.

Thanks Gary. That’s interesting. Noticed that the air on has actually been playing up a lot recently. Doesn’t change temp quickly and doesn’t seem to be getting as cold as it usually does. May be related. Will have it looked at.

Only mentioned it as a common issue is the sensor being faulty - Ask me how I know Rolling with laughter

Haha I know your pain. Exactly why I replaced it the first time.
