is the coolant system pressurised in a D4?

I ask as I keep getting the 'coolant low' message on the dash - I popped the bonnet and the level was really low. engine was hot.
I slowly released the cap and the pressure shot back up well within spec.

resulting in error message gone.

advice / thoughts welcome!
thanks

Yes.

Did you mean to say, the level shot back up to well within spec?

Remember that the coolant needs to be cold when the level is checked. It might just need topped up. Thumbs Up

I bought the tank from advanced factors a few weeks ago and changed it for the same reason. Fixed the issue straight away.

Remove the passenger headlight and it makes life much easier. You’ll need two pairs of mole grips (to nip the top and bottom pipes) to minimise coolant loss to very little.

A set of of these is also a god send.

Good luck Thumbs Up
