Heading down on Sat 7th with the troops, planning on a pint or two with Stew & BigDave. We have some things planned but it’s been 30 years since i’ve Ventured into Pasty Land so open to suggestions/ideas on keeping the kids entertained (2x 11, 10 & 8).
Staying at Retalack then onto Mousehole over 11 days.
Your input as ever appreciated.Paul.

Are you looking for beaches, surfing, zoo/animal, gardens etc - any pets going with you?

Retallack isn’t far from me. I’m in Newquay, beautiful part of Cornwall!
No pets, just SWMBO & kids. Eden Project on the list, beach if weather holds, other than that open to suggestionsPaul.

Hi Paul, hope you're well mate.
Minack is nice if there is something on you would like to watch. Worth going when the weather is good, but can get a bit chilly in the evenings.
Godrevey lighthouse is worth a look if you like looking at Seals. You can park in one of the National Trust car parks, then head up the hill to the top and look over the barrier where loads of seals sleep on the beach. Usually a few in the water as well. Kids might like it. Nice little short walk around past the lighthouse as well, and nice view over towards Hayle and St Ives.
The Camel Trail can be a bit of fun if you're taking bikes, or you can rent them at either Wadebridge or Bodmin. Cycle to Padstow is a nice flat easy ride, but different lengths depending on where you start. Fish and chips etc or plenty of other places for a spot of lunch. When I was a youngen, I used to like going on one of the speed boats which runs out of Padstow harbour. Just a speedboat ride out in the bay. Looks like the are still using the same boats.
Defo get a trip out on the jubilee queen from padstow , they've got a fb page , we go on out on her 4-5 times a year , and it's got a bar , nice 1.5 hour trip
As your close to padstow , get the ferry across to rock or drive around , great beach with sailing , water skiing etc there , and great food at the rock inn , my best place to be check there web site
There's loads to keep the kids busy in the day and nice places to walk around and eat in the evening
And high tides are early afternoon next week -------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

Paul,
Just chill and enjoy the break
If the weather keeps the way it is it'll be great and I'm sure the kids will enjoy the beaches while mum and dad have a few beers
Catch up again soon,

Only things you need to pack are shorts, bikes, surfboards, prawning nets and crablines and a packet of bacon! Kids will occupy themselves subsequently!
Enjoy! If you see Demelza tell her i’m Waiting for her!
