Cornwall or Devon 2014

Looking for recommendations for next year's holiday.... 2 weeks around August

Must be:

1. Dog Friendly
2. Child Friendly
3. Sleep up to 6 (1 double, rest can be singles or even sofa bed)
4. Close to Coast
5. Close to trails or costal paths for running and walking
6. Close to beaches
7. Close to pubs

Knowing this forum only number 1 and 7 will be considered but I thought I'd give it a go... Laughing

The Haven site at Perran Sands, Perranporth Cornwall cater for all 7 requirements you have.

Have a look at http://www.haven.com/parks/cornwall/perran-sands/

But don't leave it too long as many places get booked up many weeks and months in advance. Thumbs Up

The best, without doubt, self catering holiday company in the westcountry - www.helpfulholidays.com

We used them for 10/12 years before we moved down here, then I did their website for several years and SWMBO worked for them for 4/5 years so I am biased but that's based on first hand knowledge.

Put in all seven requirements into their 'advanced search' facility - then book the best one!!! simples

I know the exact thing you are looking for
We were after something similar a couple of years ago and SWMBO
Came up trumps with
A house in Mylor Cornwall. On the Carrick Roads
Right on the harbour side, next door to a pub with great food so the self catering was kind of looked after.
Very dog friendly 4 adults 1 lab and a springer.
Plenty walks around ( would have to look at a map to remember all the names) the coastal walk to the next town/village was worth it for a few pints or a bar lunch. Boat over to St Mawes for a day more walks/pubs
Water taxis to Falmouth instead of driving, more pubs Thumbs Up
The beaches were more pebble/rocky

mylorharbourside.com and look for Kingsmoor cottage

Can't guarantee the weather though

If this doesn't tick all your boxes I don't know what will
Hope this is what your looking for

Thumbs Up
