I can buy bio diesel at 80p. Per litre and the spec is b100 en14224 I think? Have to double check on website.
Landrover said ok to use as long as I put no more than 5% per litre. Yes the biodisel is already made up all I have to do is put in my tank.

errr. 5%....
If you're empty, then the tank is approx 80l, so 5% = 4l of biodiesel.....
Is it worth it for that little? Bodsys Brake Bible

From a completely full tank, I would then run it for 30 miles (about a gallon) which should then give you enough space to put the 4l in.
After that, yoiu'd just need to guage on approx fuel level. i.e. 1/2 full to top would be another 2l of bio.... Bodsys Brake Bible

As Bodsy says - is it worth it for 4 litres of fuel.
Based on 4 litres per full tank, and an average price of normal diesel being about £1.19/ltr, you would save £1.80 per full tank of fuel.
Also I am sure that I have read in the owners manual that you should not use biodiesel - so I would check before you put any in your tank.

I have a feeling when you buy biodiesel at the pumps in the UK it is already pre-mixed as 5% bio-diesel and 95% normal because that's all manufacturers permit, unless you've got a supplier somewhere, in which case hardly seems worth it, given 5% is 4l.
