Cranks, Non starter, no errors 3.0 TDV6 (Issue Found)

Have searched here high and low..
on tuesday this 2015 3.0 was towed in.

The car had stalled Monday night while driving
Amongst others, there was a transfer box and gearbox communication error which I managed to clear and it never came back

NO engine PCM errors.
while cranking at 13.2 battery V, 220 rpm I get 430 bar fuel pressure which will drop to 170-250 bar after the starter motor turns off. All this thanks to GAP.

Says the boss well we got no pulse on the injector then.
yes I do.
here is a screenshot of injector nº4

We measured low pressure it is 0.5 as it should be

All ideas welcome

A Warning to all who just rely on the garage... sad story

Yesterday I posted this
https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/cranks-non-...82841.html
about a non starting 2015 TDV6

Well.. as it happens I found it.

after trying various things I said.. please look what is coming from the exhaust when I try to start.
Nothing says Rafa the boss
How do you mean there must be at lest air or is the DPF blocked?
OK I'll check the other he says, will block this one with white paper to see.

Nothing... no pressure.
So he opens the oil cap ( I had said that before but i am the electrician...) and there comes a BIG cloud of oil fumes... and the car starts ..
in short no compression engine pretty dead until further investigation.

What happened.
The other day when checking all my doens of unconfirmed inputs I had ruled out all silly or intelligent non start parameters..
I had come across a calculated value of 3.9 litres of oil
WHAT Embarassed Big Cry
yes you read this right. So I look in the fantastic Italian documentation provided 2 years ago by an angel here..

Well there were 2 llitres missing , it should be 5.9 or 6.7 depending whch quantity it reads.

So we drained it and including the filter there were a bit lesss than 3.5 litres of very dark horribly burnt oil in the bottle we collected, that includes the filter dribblings.

sure we wfilled in 6 litres of nice fresh tropical Valvoline 5W40 but it was obviously too late.

Here is a picture of the filter

Which Censored idiot who should never have been near an engineering department at LR decided to do away with the filler gauge??????) '

Now you will say some idiot changed the oil, the owner didn't even know how to check it

No it was LR Jaguar Motores Satanicos, the official dealer in San José. Evil or Very Mad

The guy showed us the invoice.

Morale:

Do your own oil change with quality oil, whatever is the best in your country
Buy a decent filter.

And check.
Check again.
If you don't trust the instrument ( I wouldn't, because I know how it lies about the temperature) use your IIDtool or whatever you have.

and put a reminder on you phone.

Oh for a simple dipstick. Whistle But that won’t help stealers, wherever they are, rip peeps off or keep LR Parts in the manner they are accustomed to.

Cynical, moi? You betcha. Thumbs Up

Colleague of mine is going through something similar with BMW at the moment.....camchain snapped on his 4 series bmw..50k miles full bmw history etc JUST out of warranty...finally had a NEW engine fitted as good will from bmw..he paid the labour at £1200....140 miles later Engine started making noise, pulled over, recovery truck back to bmw where it was left for them to deal with..few days later message informing of 'catastrophic' engine failiure and courtesy car waiting and yep you guessed it.....no oil in engine!!! Censored Idiots who fitted it obviously did not check that oil had actually been put in it and just assumed dash reading was correct (it said level was fine)....All this could have been prevented with a simple dip stick and basic mechanical checks..beggars belief really.

: Crying or Very sad

Did your colleague own the car for long? I mean did he actually see any work done or did he just get the invoices from the last owner?

I have seen incredible things.. but that the stealers garage doesn't even check if there's oil at any level really beats it.
I would never buy a car without a dipstick but then I am just a humble technician who couldn't afford one in the first place.
When I graduated from open university in electrical engineering I was planning to make a proper career and applied for a job in Germany. I thought now I can put all the stupid things right that have annoyed me for years on the workfloor

I learned quickly.
1 they don't really want women in these jobs
2 the pecking order is more important than technical improvement
3 saving a deutchmark is even more important, even if the consequence is less reliability
4 they couldn't care less whether a bolt is reachable or not.
I had lots of applause from the workshop but was hitting a wall against the hierarchy
5 as long as it 'looks modern' it will be implemented, whether it makes sense or not.

That is why I still repair cars.
Must say I stick to improving the factory supplied bugs.
Apart from repairing the expert's electronic sins,my current pet project is to put the temperature gauges right
