I recently received my new D4 commercial (company vehicle) without cruise control, so ordered the switches and fitted them.
When I did this in the D3 nothing needed activating, however the switches in the D4 don't do anything!
So popped into the dealers, the tech guy plugged in to activate them (though he says he has never had to do it before) and said he couldn't find the option to activate them, he says as it wasn't fitted as standard, the option is there to enable it.
He is going to try speaking to Landrover Technical on Monday to see what they can suggest.
In the mean time is there anyone out there who has done the activating before who can give me some hints to pass on to the tech guy to activate them? It's a 2012MY.
Cheers.

Cheers Strathearn Engineering,
Its a shame your quite so far away, I will try to find someone a little more local if LR can't find the answer! I wonder if it's called speed control on their system too and the chap was looking for cruise control!?!

As far as I know, the faultmate hasn't had the update yet for the MY12, unless I'm wrong?
I'm surprised if LR can't sort it

Why are you suprised ?
You are asking your dealer to change the spec of a vehicle .
LR dealers have never been able to activate cruise control on a D3 ... Why should they suddenly be aloud to do it on a D4 G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

To be honest wiggs, I'm only surprised they couldn't do it because they told me they have done the upgrade in the past, and if a customer is willing to pay to have their vehicle upgraded with a factory option it's a bit odd they can't. I wouldn't have expected LR to say sorry if you do decide you want to add something, do it from scratch or sell your vehicle and come buy a new one with it on.
