Have you just fitted paddles or did you have them before fitting the CC switches? - if you have just fitted them have you also fitted the wiring loom for them? As said above they also need enabling and possibly a gearbox flash with the appropriate software.
Have a read here if you have just fitted them:

Hi Sharky, those are the IID settings I have, and the car already has flappy paddles ( not retro fitted) so wouldn't have thought a firmware update was needed.?
Already fitted M3DPO.
Thanks guys. Another BagOff day tomorrow I reckon!D4 GS 12MY

If you already have working paddles you must have the loom with the 4 coloured wires that plug into the left side switch pack, so the question is have you plugged it in correctly without bending any pins?It can when others can't,

The switch illumination should work regardless of cruise control, flappy paddle etc settings
If you can't get that working I would say you are ing in the wind

Gonna check the plugs tomorrow and if that doesn't resolve refit the original non cruise panel to check the switch lights and flappies return. If they do I've probably been sold a duff switch D4 GS 12MY

It would be good to test the switch in a newer car in case there is something different.
What is the part number of the switch and do you know what year car it came from if used

Is it the same part no. as this one that I tried on my car and I couldn't get the illumination to work.

GVW I'll have to get the switch panel off tomorrow and check the part number. Not sure of the exact year, but it has the raised horn symbol in white which matches my RH panel (12MY).

The earlier units don't have the raised horn symbol - this is what's fitted to my car.
The unit in my photo does have the raised symbol however I'm not sure this tells us anything.
This unit came as part of a heated wheel from a 2014 car and something we do know is that the heated wheel ECU from a 2014 car is not compatible with earlier cars and needs to be software enabled, hence my thoughts about software compatibility
Edit - something else I just thought of - IIRC the wiring loom from the 2014 wheel has an additional 12v connection on the large multiple plug to the lhs switch pack not that this made any difference on my car as it still didn't work when using the correct loom

While you have the switch off can you take it apart and take a good photo of both sides of the PCB so that I can compare it with the spare that Inhave got. If you do be careful on reassembly not to over tighten the screws, use a small screwdriver, this has been found to be the cause of some of these PCB's failing :thumbsup It can when others can't,

Hi chaps, I've now taken the switch apart and added some pics of the PCB and the part number.
Thanks.

This is left side PCB complete with ACC PCB, this was taken off a my12 Autobiography, it is not the later version as the later version is not suitable for the D3 mod I have done. I don't know if the AAC PCB would affect it's operation on yours. The 4 pins on the left in photo 1 are the connectors I have referred to earlier, make sure the other end is connected.
Edit: The switches and lights did work in my D3 before I fitted the conversion.
Right PCB with Heated switch PCB.
Wheel it came off now in my D3

I might be interested in them if dlgis doesn't want them

Does the other end of the 4 pin connector lead fit into the RH switch panel?
I've tried refitting my old non cruise panel and the flappy paddles and switch illumination now working again.
So guess I've either got a poor connection, or an incompatible cruise panel ?. D4 GS 12MY

Yes I'm sure it does fit into the right switch panel, worth taking it off to check as this is the one I had problems with because it would not reach the left panel for some reason, ISTR it had been plugged in wrong, but if yours works now it must be right. When you've run out of options you can try mine to see if it will work, sale or return postage won't cost much.
Have you removed the connecting loom for any reason?- found some notes on when I did the upgrade and it appears it is possible to fit this loom the wrong way round! It can when others can't,
