Ctek battery charging question |
|
Ok , it’s that time of the year when the battery works overtime, if I purchase a smart charger do I have to lift the bonnet and remove covers every night, or it there a more professional easier way to simply connect 300 Tdi R reg

If you’ve got a towing socket at the back Martin sells a pre-wired plug. Just remember to remove before flight!

If you don’t have a tow socket then CTEK provide a connector you can leave permanently connected to you battery and chassis connection and have extending from the plastic battery case. That way you only have to lift the bonnet and connect in, not open the case each time or use the crocodile clips.
In fact, I seem to remember one person using this solution and leaving the connector on the scuttle so there was no need to even lift the bonnet.
Cheers Gary

I've just bought the CTEK MXS 10 and it worked beautifully at bringing my battery back to life. It comes with a lead that is too short thought, but I think that applies to all of them.
Buy it with a comfort connector too, you can then leave it connected to the battery permanently and just plug/unplug the cable as you need it. It has a useful indicator on it yoo that tells you when it needs charging 2022 BMW i4 M50. Bought Oct 2022. 10,200 miles and counting...
