Does any one know if the slide out cup holder on the left passenger side can be retro fitted to the D3. Mine has a blank plate in that place. If so do you know the part number(s) required to fit it.

what model Disco3 have you got ?
mine has the slide out cup holder on the passenger side ... wouldn't have thought it cup holders would not be standard across the whole range. 2009 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE
1985 LR 110 County 3.5 V8
(what options?!)

I was looking at this on Saturday too- reading the manual whilst Senior Management popped to the shop. Seems a bit mean to not put one in on the base model.
I guess it's an easy retro-fit: the blanking plate looks to come out easily enough.
Any idea of price / part no / ease of DIY fit? Hope you're not going to tell us that the whole dash needs to come out... Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue
Had it since new - sold Jun 17 after 12 years and 214,000 miles

They are standard on the HSE in Aus but not the SE. I have used one of the cup holders to mount my GPS so now Mrs anthill has nowhere to put her cup TDV6 SE (Ausie Spec) COOOL Chawton White.

mmm I have one in my 'S' not that I can reach it mind you
I was convinced that the cup holder should be there and assumed that the blanking plate that is installed (rather shoddy on LR's part if you ask me) was in fact a jammed cup holder. My test car was an SE so I got confused
Dealer was also under the impression it should have one and tried to 'fix' it. As they couldn't un-jam it they ordered a new one.
Took the 'old one' out only to find it was just a hole and a blanking plate
So they fitted the 'new' one anyway and I now have one for free !

In fact EVERYONE who gets in the passenger side cannot help themselves but to press the damn cup holder... so pressing the blanking plate got really annoying as it just creaks as they push harder and would have broken anyway I'm sure...
Now the 'blanking plate' pops out and they say... ohhh another cup holder. So that makes 11 you have then ?
I say :
"Yes, and you can thank the American's for that"
This normally confuses them and they are insistent that LR is an English company !

Well, the car is now coming upto the next spec. If you keep going you will end up with an HSE.
