D3 Body Removal - Devizes, Wiltshire

Hi Everyone.

Time has come to get the body removed on my D3 so I can undertake some work. Main items being Cambelts, Cross over exhaust pipe but also I want to clean and protect the chassis.

Issue is I don't have the facility to remove the body and am looking for somewhere I can get this done in Wiltshire, Preferably close to Devizes. Every garage I have so far spoken to really don't want to do it which is odd as from what I can tell it's not too bad a job to complete.

Any Help would be greatfully received.

I don't have any suggestions for you, but I'd imagine the garages don't want to do it because the body will stay on the ramp until the whole job is finished. That means they can't use the lift for anything else while the chassis is being cleaned and painted.

I was thinking I would get the body lowered onto a trailer and remove it out of their way while I did the work.

Totally don't want to block up a ramp. Unless I can rent a ramp for a week.

This guy is good. Whether you can get in is another matter though.

He's just put on a new chassis on a mates 90. Absolutely cracking job.

Most of his time now is converting campers now but definitely worth giving him a buzz if Colerne's not too far.
