D3 Courier Success - Cheltenham to Glasgow
Now being the proud owner of a server cabinet (which will fit in the D3) I'm looking for help with transport from Shrinky in Cheltenham. Perhaps someone is passing on their way from Wales to Boat of Garten , but if not could anyone collect when at Boughrood in December and take even as far as a drop off in Leeds - I could collect from there.
Thanks in advance for this

I would be passing that way, Alex, but the car will be loaded to the roof with furniture, garden stuff, lawnmower, wheels, etc, etc. Not even room for Mrs DSL & mutts, they are following behind in the Jazz. Sorry, I did think "I could do that" but then remembered what I was taking norf, will be lucky to get my extra bag of wine gums in.

Just a 'Bump'
Just a 'bump' to put this back on the board. Are any of the eventers for the weekend navigation or winching able to bring this box up to the Manchester Leeds area? I can collect from there if needed.
I presume you are talking about a 42/47U rack not a small one? If it is a smaller one let me know sizes, I might be able to help as I'm heading to Cannich near Beauly via Glasgow & Loch Earn on Friday the 28th Dec. Problem is we are going for a week with the dogs so the boot is already spoken for, as is most of the rear seat Depending on size and weight I may be able to re-arrange things onto the roof rack though.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Alex, just how big is this cabinet? I am going to Boughrood next Sunday, and could bring it as far as Stockport, and if its not too big, I could store it for you.
However space is a bit tight in the cellar at the moment, and I will need to move it on pretty quick as it looks like I have builders coming in soon after new year.
Let me know the size of the cabinet.

Disconutter - many thanks but I don't think it would be the sort of thing that would go on a roofrack - well I wouldn't want to do that distance with it there.
Gareth - if you could manage it that would be ideal - I can collect from Stockport without too much trouble unless someone is able to do another leg.
Having seen the size of it, yup I wouldn't want that on the roof all that way either - sorry but it ain't going to fit inside either. Good luck.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
