From D3 to D4
Having got to 213000 miles in our D3, it has started to threaten to cost a lot in the coming months. So when we got the opportunity to acquire a D4 from a friend of the family, it was an easy decision to make.

The D4 is a 2015 HSE Luxury (one of the earliest with AdBlue, so we'll be able to visit family in London), with 72000 on the clock. So far, I've only driven it a hundred miles or so down the M6, but even that was a better experience than the D3. We'll be adding Carplay to it, and I need to swap over our towbar so the horsebox is secure. (The previous owner towed their horsebox and a caravan (not simultaneously) using the removable hitch, but I don't trust them that much.)
A couple of wrinkles I need to work out. I can't see a way to make some adjustments to settings. For example, I would prefer it if the flappy paddles only worked in Sport mode, but I can't see where to make that change. The handbook says to access it via the Vehicle Info menu, but this car doesn't have that in the driver information screen -- it only has Service Info.
It is also sitting on Falken Wildpeak A/T tyres. They are 255/55/20s, and I don't need the AT tyre. I am thinking of reverting to a more road-based tyre of the correct size. The ones on the car have only done 1000 miles at most. Is it likely that anyone here might want them?Mark...
