D3 front tow bar fitting
Does anyone have a front tow bar fitted.
I need to buy and fit one in the coming weeks but a look at the website it says there is a visible bumper cut. I'm not to keen on this idea and wondered if anyone could stick an image up of the tow bar in place and the cut in the bumper
Thanks in advance

I would be interested in this too as I have thought that a front tow bar would be really handy. which website are you looking at?Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Used to have one bolted on to the front of our old defender for launching boats - very useful. Now have one bolted to an old 12" bucket on our mini-digger for moving things around at home in restricted quartersCurrently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

Lets hope that someone has one fitted so we can see what they look like fitted.
We have a long twin axle caravan and are going to start to store it at the side of the house and it would be much easier to manoeuvre it in with a front towbar.
There must be someone on here that could make one, they dont look too technical and hopefully nobody would using it for long journeysDiscovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

I'd be up for having one if a group buy could be organised.

PS I'd like a central facility instead of, or in addition to the standard.2011 Discovery 4 Commercial SDV6 (Gone)

I've had a bit of a response from the manufacturer
The D3 standard front bar doesn't need a cut in the bumper, I require the heavy duty one and am awaiting a response.
I've had the green light from Martin re the possibility of a group buy so when I have a response from the Company I will pursue the possibility

I have the nude bar and in the instructions it says its not for ones with the nudge bar. If they agree to the group buy, Ill have to see if they have one that will fit with the nudge bar.Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

This could prove to be an expensive thread - I see that they also do winch mounts for the receivers (as widely used in the US).....Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

Looking at the video above.....
I have a Warn removable winch set up..
Looks the same fitting, and easy to fit..
Gives you the advantage for a removable winch Best regards

And another...
There are 4 more bolts as far as i can see... at both sides, for fitting you need to remove the plastic bumper..
Regarding the group buy:
So i only need a tow hook Best regards
