D3 is still no.1

Just been shopping Crying or Very sad but whilst in Smiths I noted that 2 of the leading independent 4x4 magazines had features involving the D3.

'4X4' magazine had the top 11 off roaders .....at no.5 was the rrsport...and at no. 1 of course was the D3 Very Happy

'Planet 4x4' had a group test involving the new Jeep Commander, Shogun, the D3 and some other irrelevance that I can't remember.. Confused .....needless to say the D3 won by some considerable measure. Very Happy

D3 King. We all know it.....but it's still nice to read it from time to time. Mr. Green

Nissan Patrol.... They compared £31000 Jeep, Shogun and Nissan against D3 HSE Question BUT then ended up saying that even a D3 S (equivalent price) was better than the others anyway 8) Could have told them that!! Laughing

Bought it to read that article. Won't be buying it again, its c**p!

Cheers Stu .....in a strange way I've got a bit of a soft spot for the Nissan ......it's big, brash and ugly in a likeable way Confused

The new Jeep Commader is 'the' most ugly bling motor I seen for sometime ...the side on shot looks like a hearse....ugh !!

Nothing against the Patrol either, just a bit dated now. Totally agree about the Jeep, looks just like a stretched hearse... Apparently, though, its shorter than a D3 Shocked

Off subject a bit, the D3 and the MkIII have a similar length wheel base, odes anybody know of any other 4x4 with the same or longer wheel base. Question

Cheers
