they never even turned up to see CCTV when my first one was nicked … did for the subsequent one and were looking at it being an inside job until I told them to look for a certain bit of kit being demonstrated on YouTube..

The D3 doesn't have keyless entry, there is no chance of scanning a D3 key from inside the house to open the car because your key doesn't transmit until you press the button. Keyless entry is constantly transmitting and this is the signal that is detected, boosted and used to unlock a car that has keyless entry.
It looks increasingly as though you forgot to lock your car I'm afraid.
Chances are too, local kids are knocking about whilst residents are sleeping and trying car doors ( they try house doors too I understand ), looking for easy targets. Ipods and loose change, CD's and sunglasses are all easy to swipe.

Yes, glove box & boot went through.
If scanning key is unlikely that almost makes me feel better as I will now be more careful about locking the door.
