Quick question - what can I expect to pay for a new SE diesel auto - no extras? Loving the power of the TDV8!

I paid just over £34000 for mine in March. I did a lot of internet research, got a few quotes and then phoned a lot of main dealers and ended up buying in the Midlands. I found that enquiring about a nearly new one in stock and then asking how much more it would be for a new one brought the price down towards the used vehicle. Picked it up from Lancaster Reading end July.
Salesman was Mark Jefferys (not sure of spelling). Helpful chap.
Got offered same price by Stratstone Heathrow but scruffy premises and attitude made me buy from Lancaster..

If your interested i have had a note through the post today from my dealer (Hunters) it claims that if you order this weekend (8-10 Sept) you can choose any 2 of the following extras free:-
2 Years (24000 mile) servicing
Vehicle Replacement Insurance
Vehicle Protection package
Key Protection Insurance
Tyre Protection Insurance
Paint Protection Insurance
The small print does say that you have to have the mailer to qualify, but if you want it I can post it to you?

Sorry to hear of your problems. Your post mentions that Quote:I am going directly to LR to request action and a replacement. , so I'm not sure why you're running it down in VA's topic. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana
