Are there any more upgrades available - other than detailed in the original post?
Also, drevilish asked about the mirrors folding when the car is locked - possible?

On a D3, folding mirrors can be done, but it's a phaff and if you lock the door, the mirrors will fold in as that's the only reliable way to trigger them.

I just got a v8 se which don't have the offroad screen. What would be the cost of having Bluetooth installed as I seem not to have the module?? Phone not fitted warning comes when i click on the phone buttons.
Can map be updated in a way that it can actually be used?? Data seems to be very old?

Hi,
This is my first post so hopefully I've posted in the right place in respect of the software upgrades thread.
I've had my 05 D3 for over 3 yrs now and wished I had bought one of these year ago....
I bought a Hawkeye Total earlier this year to ease problem solving, but not convinced that I made the best choice in terms of diagnostic kit - seems that there are others on the market that do a lot more...
Anyway, interested to find out how I can go about getting some software upgrades, I assume that I can't do anything with the Hawkeye Total?
I live in Cardiff, do most of my own maintenance etc, but if upgrades can't be done by DIY, just wondering if there is anywhere close to me that can do it and what sort of prices am I looking at?

PS: I have used many vehicle forums and dedicated sites over the years, but I have to say that this is by far the best that I have ever come across and is my go to reference, not just for problem solving and maintenance, but for interest in what others are doing - certainly has given me the Land Rover bug.

They’re certainly DIY if you have an IID (at least). The upgrade process for each subsystem is pretty much “connect ctek to battery, connect IID, click through menus, select, follow instructions, wait, enable what you need (like 3x flash on turn in CCF), verify, disconnect ctek” (2..10 minutes depending on upgrade)
