Hi
Thanks
I have read Robbies guide and went through it again today just to make sure.

I know the HP Pump is difficult to get to hence why I am trying all other easier on the driveway options first (especially in the cold weather)
If the HP belt had failed again (would not surprise me the Garage who did the engine rebuild etc just about cocked up all aspects of it. (forgot to fit magnetic ring on crank so body off again, got timing wrong on brand new engine Smashed nearly all rockers, incorrectly fitted rear main seal, incorrect pump belt fitting lasted about 100 miles and so on...

So unfortunately will not be returning there again just cannot trust them to get anything right!!

Guess I will bite the bullet and get the cover off the HP pump,
I have looked but is there any right up on here about changing the belt? or HP Pump

I have the original HP pump that I know was working before it was removed so I can always change it back to that one as I know any of the Garages I will probably end up taking it too will insist on fitting a new Genuine pump at another £650+ labour

Thanks for ideas and advice

Basically you remove that metal water pipe across the engine. Minor coolant loss

Usually you remove the wiring across the top by windscreen to ecu which is tricky without instructions. So skip that for now

There is a plastic cover over the belt. You will see some clips to release the cover at the top.

Then get a mirror is the back and torch to see what’s going on.

Follow Disco Mikey’s guide to changing the timing belt covers both changing the front and rear belts. Excellent guide with pictures 👍
