Hi Kane
Have a look in my gallery to see what a UK commercial D3 can look like. Assuming you are VAT registered, there can be over £6k of that in there...
If you are serious, give Ryan Sim a phone at Lakeland Land Rover in Cumbria (01539 441317) and tell him I sent you. He may even be reading this already!!
Unlike Nene Overland, Lakeland L.R. are a proper franchised LR dealer and their conversions will not have you worrying about the VAT Man.
I was originally looking at the Nene vehicle, but when I saw the hidden seats in the back, and then had a word with HM Customs, I went running to Lakeland and I'm so glad I did.
Permagrin ever since!!!
PS. Its also lighter and faster than the equivalent D3......

Got the figures then
It's only lighter until you fill it up with all the tools & crap you need a commercial disco3 for in the first place
.....having said that if I needed comfort and carrying capability for work ...I'd want one too 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

A laptop, two dogs and a large duvet (dog bed) ain't that heavy..... Just don't tell the VAT man
I didn't need a commercial Disco, I actually wanted one. I don't make the VAT rules - I just play by them 8)

Don't you mean "play with them" 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Assuming it is your company, and you are happy with a 2-seater D3, then it would be silly not to have the company purchase the vehicle.
As well as getting the VAT back, you will see 50% 'book' depreaciation in year 1 (because it is a van). These things only mean something if your company is doing well. If it wasn't doing well, you wouldn't consider buying a D3 - unless you were a director of Enron
My £40k TDV6SE cost my company £34k+vat and 'lost' £17k on the books within 3 weeks of ownership (purchased in March - new financial year in April).
Best thing about the D3 commercial is that VA (VeryAnnoyed from the RRS forum) can't give me stick about the D3 looking like a van. 8)
