D3 Wheels 19"

What would be the issue if I wanted to fit Range Rover Sport wheels to my D3, The spec for the car is 255/50/V/R19, and the sport is 255/50/Z/R19, any help would be appreciated? Thank you

Dave, the D3 needs 255/55/19, not 50. The load rating on the 50s is too low and the smaller radius tyres can also cause problems. RRS tyres are 107 load rating, vs 111 or 112 for D3

The wheel itself also has a lower load rating than the D3 wheel, although many people on here run with the RRS wheels.

So the wheels ok-ish, but the tyres no.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

D3 wheels are 940kg, FFRR 925kg and RRS lower than that, 890kg or therabouts I think?

I fitted my original 19" wheels and tyres from my 2006 HSE RRS to my 2007 D3. The car drove perfectly. Excellent grip and no problems on a 1000km round trip bouncing off the speed-limiter at 180km/h all the way (empty toll roads).

I never used them off road, for that I used the original 18"s with AT2s.

I know they're lower than the FFRR wheels and they in turn are lower than the D3 wheels. Which part of that is causing you to struggle? Less = Less? Can I draw some pictures for you? Would it help if I spoke slowly? Thud

I know plenty of people are running FFRR and RRS wheels without problem. Just don't find yourself in an accident where your wheel has collapsed in the impact or your insurers may cause you some mild financial discomfort Thumbs Up

900kg for the RRS wheels.

As mentioned in the thread above and in countless other threads, loads of people are using them without the slightest problem. I'm just highlighting that in the event of a crash where the wheel collapses before, during or after impact, you may get a royal knobbing from your insurer.

So Primo, feel free to pucker up sunshine Laughing
