Had the software upgrade today. The engine sounds "throatier" and it feels quicker - maybe that's my imagination?
2 bottles of wine as a gift.
Hopefully no more "low battery" warnings. Global close works now too.Paul

You dign't get this?
No I didn't get that
Had the chance to go on a long run this weekend - car now running very smoothly indeed, no more window problems (which is a blessed relief with two kids in the back) seat/mirrors working properly, start button working first time every time and fuel economy possibly slightly better.
Two small electrical oddities still:
1 - Car still sometime displays a "timed climate failure" warning on the screen at startup - we don't have timed heat
2 - In door mood lights and dash clock illumination didn't come on one night but now seem fine.FFRR Vogue SE - Waitomo

Owners of D4 vehicles included in this programme (in the UK, please note) will hear from their dealers directly next week, by mail, inviting them to make their vehicle available for an update process that will take a little over two hours.
NO VEHICLE AFTER VIN LA534326 IS INCLUDED.
Action varies by VIN, but could include:
My VIN number itself is a bit higher in the last two digits to that quoted above but it is preceeded by AA and not LA - excuse my dimness but is it just the number that matters or the preceeding letters also.
I've notcied another owner on this thread picked up his D4 a couple of days after mine and has had to go in...?
Thanks

Hmm,
Curiouser & curiouser...
I have just been speaking to Land Rover customer services regards some other queries and it turns out that my car DOES need to have the assurance update.
Furthermore I have been adivsed that the VIN range effected is from 534218 to 536055, which is a good bit higher than indicated further in this thread.
I wonder if anyone else can confirm this is correct or that the VIN may have extened from the orignal given, it may be useful to others who may now come under the catchment and like me have heard nothing from the dealer...

There is now a version 4 of the assurance program bulletin so the end VIN could well have changed.

Version 4 expanded the VIN range to 536055, but those additional vehicles only need the Keyless Vehicle Software update, so only relevant for HSEs or those who have added KVM as an option.

Hey Mods....you took your time with those quotes 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE
Ended up phoning Guy Salmon myself to arrange it. They said that they were not pro-actively contacting customers to carry it out but just waiting until a car came in for a service or whatever and would carry out the update at that time.
I asked the service manager to let me know what aspects of the programme were carried out on my car.
This is what he gave me, may be of interest to some of you...
