I had a climb around that car at Goodwood today. Very impressed by the improvements to the instrumentation, including the impressive range of cameras that I could have spent ages messing around with. Vast difference, but somehow I feel it's taken away some of the rugged feel you get in the D3, now more akin to any other fancy saloon. Which is probably the object, actually! I did rather like the analog clock in the centre of the dash, a nice retro touch.
They've now got an ipod/USB port in the centre consol lid which is a good thing, and all the door handle surrounds have chrome. Seats feel a lot more comfortable and come with more adjustment. Nothing seems to have changed in the rear of the car, though. The rather delightful girl in charge also mentioned that they've uprated the suspension to reduce roll.
And yes, that front grill is dodgy and will be a to clean!

The front is really growing on me, so is that grille.
However I stlll maintain that there should be a less 'bling' grille on option for buyers not going for that look (ie quite a fair number of prospective buyers).
The same grille is sold on all RRS' but only the top-grade models get the shiny silver one, the rest have a dark grille. Why can't that dark-grille equivalent be offered on the D3?

Agree with ad15, darker grey grill would look better on black at least.16 D4 Landmark

That interior pic makes it look very attractive indeed 8)
Good lookin motor but a darker grille would suit my tastes - bit too shiny

Hi from a new member. Keep up the good work with this forum!
D4 looks very pretty indeed!
One question though DaveVX or anyone else who's been lucky enough to see it in flesh: is the interior as gray as it looks in the above photo? Reminds me of the - not very nice I must say - gray of the first D3's (2004). I am looking into placing an order and this might put me off a bit.
Nice to see an interior in ebony. Is that a chromed epb switch ??? Does the steering wheel look more chunky or is it the angle of the shot ?? or is this a heated one ??? Looks more spacious in the front than D3, but wheres the ledge for the sweets like in the D3??
Oh "large one" where are the rubber bits are they either side of the centre console ??
Looks nice inside, very nice, mmmmmmmmm maybe !

Yes, EPB is chromed (along with loads of other trim, perhaps a bit too blinged up). I asked if the functionality had been updated to eliminate the well-known problem, but the LR lady didn't know that.
Another interesting addition (unless I've missed something on my D3) is a cabin preheater for those cold mornings.
The steering wheel felt very similar to the old one, it's just that they've tranferred some more controls onto it.
