Thats terrible news, and yes Im pretty sure you are safe to reurrn as not fit for purpose.
See what they say be careful what you say and if not totally happy with their response seek legal advice, again dont tell them you are doing this.
I assume it had oil and water in it when you took it away?
Never checked as I was told it had a major service and a mot on Wednesday
Where did you buy the car, how did you pay for it?
Does it have a full JLR service history?
Do you have the invoice for the service immediately before you bought it. If not get a copy NOW.

If anyone asks you of course checked all the fluids as would be wise with a new to you car.
Probably the most dangerous time for any car is right after its been worked on.

All sorted, car was from an independent garage(lesson learnt)the car is in the garage with the full front end off it.im not sure of the problem.
Dealer has taken the car back, gave me my deposit and car transfer money back.
Time to get a proper 1 from a main dealer with warranty.if I find out what the problem was Iβll keep yours posted.
Cheers ππππ

Good news on the money front , might be an idea to either say who the car was for sale with or the general area to hopefully save someone else the aggro.

Warranty
On the warranty front- it's worth bearing in mind that I found that aftermarket warranty companies will not cover a car +100k miles.
If you find one, or anyone else has a company that will, please let me know.
Hope you find a car soon... they're an amazing piece of kit.2011 MY D4 HSE

Don't let that experience dissuade you from D4s I have had my 2012 8-speeder for 3.5 years and used her as my company car, property renovators van and tow truck - currently she's on >168k and pulls like a train.
Except for service items - they like brakes and tyres if you enthusiastically drive them I have only had to do the lower arms and both inlet manifolds which have cracked. Sadly both are common issues and with the latter if you can do them yourself they're cheap at Β£150 approx; if its done by LR, however, add a zero to the number as they're 6 to 8 hours each to replace.D4 2012 Orkney Grey SDV6 GS 8 Speed - Awesome
