Only to be expected (when comparing with my 11 year old D3) it was a much smoother more comfortable ride and the car handled brilliantly on the winding country roads. My D3 always brought a smile to my face. But the d4 takes permagrin to another level!!
I'm with you on the high beam assist. It is too slow to react and oncoming drivers flash their annoyance at being dazzled. It is also scared of its own reflection if there are a number of road signs.
The satnav system itself is much better than my D3, I particularly like that it names oncoming service stations on the motorway for example. The instructions seem clearer and I like that it appears on the info screen on the dash. Not sure how the actual route guidance compares yet though.
Del.. Have they changed the front and rear wash/wipe on the stalk? As you slide down the banister of life

The wash/wipe stalk changed between earlier and later D4s as mine is a 2010, but when I changed the stalks for the later plastic metal tipped ones the operation was different.Andy

I have to confess to not remembering the original operation now
But the new stalks you press the end to wash the rear window, whereas previously I think that did the front? You now pull the stalk towards the wheel to wash the windscreen.
You twist the end for the rear wiper.
The car excepts how the new stalk is configured, so it works as labelled.Andy

That sounds a more sensible/normal way of doing things but after 10 1/2 years I'm too used to the old/unusual way of doing things.
