D4 lights
Hi i am thinking of buying an early D4 with the 3.0 engine i assume as it will be an 09/10 car the fairy lights will not work if so is it a straight swap of the lights for a later type and if so is there a certain model year that fits easily i assume i will need to do a bit of work though Discovery 3 se gone

The later D4 has xenon lights and as such you would need to update the CCF file to let the ECU know they are there

The fairy lights do not work as DRL's unless you do the fuse hack, where you link fuses together plenty on it if you search

It will also depend upon the model. I had a MY2010 HSE which had the fairy lights as standard, but not as DRL’s.

Be aware that main beam on the DRL,s version is not as good as on the fairy light version as the dedicated main beam bulb is replaced with the indicator bulb.

Yes. When you turned the lights on (side or side/head) they came on. The fairy lights on that spec were the sidelights.
