Hi...
It's been a while!
Looking to get back to Disco ownership within the next couple of months. I am man of simple pleasures so all I want is my ancient iPod and iPhone to work.
In my D3, the phone was an old Nokia in a cradle under the cubby box lid and the iPod sat in a dock next to the steering wheel.
Based on budget and what I can see on Autotrader, I am looking at a 2012 plated car being the latest I can get. So, will I be able to BT my phone, USB my iPod and use the steering wheel controls from the start or will I need special cables, software updates and a lot of swearing..?

The only thing I found with my D4 is that it seems to be one or the other. I thought you would be able to have an iPod connected via usb in the glovebox, and still be able to switch from that to play music from your iPhone via Bluetooth, using the source button on the screen. But it seems you can’t

Thank you for the replies.
I won't want to play music from the phone just use it for calls.
My Ford Transit can handle music from the iPod and BT calls from the phone so I really hope the D4 can nil admirari

My 13 plate HSE handles both calls and music ( Spotify) no problem once paired up ( this can be pain sometimes) and is controllable via steering wheel controls and dash/ touch screen, interestingly when you use the USB this stops the Bluetooth working on the music side ,I tend to just use the Bluetooth,it auto connects very well
