D4 or New New Defender
So your D3 is due for replacement. Lets imagine that the New New Defender is available. Need to use a bit of imagination here. The new new Defender is supposedly going to be based on the T5 chassis however another rumour being banded about that its going to be monocoque construction (FFRR) but will have the practicability of the current Defender. Anyway which vehicle would you go for. The posh new (lost its utility feel) D4 or the new new Defender. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

difficult Q. i do 30-40k a year and spend most of that at 80mph on mway. if the Defender is as quiet and responsive as the D3 with all the extras and comfort then i would consider it ?
if not then i wont..Duncan

New New Defender without a moment's hesitation. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

If the rumours are true that its a D3 chassis and running gear (air ??) and has the top half of a rugged, adaptable, multi seat body like a 110, then New New Defender.
Oh, and the seats need to go back further than the current Defender ones do

Approx 50 thou miles per year - So as long as the Defender was comfortable & with more poke , I'd choose it over the D4 .

If, as everyone has heard that the new new defender is based on the T5 platform then that gets my vote for what its worth.POT NOODLE NAVIGATION CHALLENGE 2010 WINNER

Maybe Mr Popam should look here to see that a good comfortable cruising but rugged NuNew Defender will be well received

D4, saw heaps in the flesh today at Solihull and they look just awesome! The interior is just in a new league, and apparently the step between D3 and D4 is supposed to be like the step between D2 and D3.Ben

Yeah, but who want's to take that step ?
If I did I would've had an RRS or a FFRR
