D4 ODB port access - NOT
Guys
a few D4's have been nicked due to folks smashing the drivers window and reaching in and plugging into ODB port to open/start the car
Here's my simple tip - I've done this on my D4.
I moved the ODB port - I just unclipped it, and tucked the socket up behind the trim.
To do this you drop the lower trim, unplug the ODB socket and tuck up behind upper trim - replace lower trim. You can only do this with the drivers door wide open.
My theory is, if the car is deadlocked, even if you smash a window, you cant just reach in and plug something in, as there's nothing to plug into, and you cant really get to the lower trim without the door being open.
Its not failsafe, but hopefully, jonny tealeaf will have legged it as all of this is too much hassle.
Whenever the cars needs genuine ODB access, I'll just re-plug it inVolvo XC90 B5 Plus Dark

That certainly is a cracking idea, especially the dummy socket, as that should put off all but the most determined of thieves.Andy

Still think honking great capacitor (tazer style) is the best way.
