D4 problem (I know this is the D3 site)

Hi all, I put this on the D4 page but got zero response so am hoping someone sees it here and can help.
The gear change paddles have stopped working on my D4 MY2016 auto.
It had been to a body shop for a minor scuff paint job and I see they removed the rear bumper (fitted with reversing sensors). I now get the dashboard message "Gearbox paddles disabled, press OK to clear", but the "OK" button on my steering wheel has also stopped working. The body shop deny all knowledge of course.
I have read the codes :- U2013-08 switch pack general failure, U0405-68 invalid data - speed control, and B112B-87 Steering wheel module missing message.
Any ideas what I should look for first ? Is the reversing sensor circuit linked to the steering wheel buttons in any way ? Sad

As above that sounds like the clock spring/rotary connector behind the steering wheel,

Pretty much the only way to manually damage that is to over rotate the wheel, normally done by letting the wheel rotate with the steering rack disconnected allowing it turn to far and snap the connection.

I can't see how they could have damaged that doing a rear bumper repair.
Did have any steering or suspension work done at the same time did you?

First I would check the connections on the steering wheel to see if they are fully on, if ok then like Pete has said could the clock spring.

Flack Thumbs Up
