Dealer tool is incapable of retro-fit/enable of timed climate, or RPH
Oh yes they can, my dealer activated it on my D4 previously with no issues what so ever
Dealers were given access to enable timed climate from about 2012 if my memory serves me correctly
Thats spot of Wiggs
I thought perhaps the issue is the fact that the unit was not fitted when they first tried to enable it but if they have tried since the unit was fitted then it blows that idea out the water.
Have you tried the re-programe the fob to the unit procedureMY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

I was getting the correct green slow flash if I tried to activate but nothing fired up from the fbh so I guess I have answered my last question in that fob and receiver where still communicating.
All coming back to the car not being programmed when handed over despite them having it back a short while later to check why it wasn't functioning.
Will swop new for old one tomorrow - results will be interesting

Following on to previous post I have swapped the receiver for the 2010 model and the fob just gives a few rapid green flashes but the fob does not operate.
Refitted the new receiver and fbh fires up with the fob as expected.
Below photo shows the 2010 receiver on the left and new one to the right.

Did you re-pair the fob to the module? That's why it was giving the rapid green flashes.Bodsys Brake Bible

Either disconnect the connector on the module, or remove the fuse in the engine bay (fuse 2 istr).
Then when you reconnect, hold the OFF button down and keep it held down for a few seconds.Bodsys Brake Bible

Access to the receiver is easy so removed the power lead, re connected and held down the off button as you suggest. The fob still doesn't fire up the fbh. When pressing the on there are still around 5 rapid green flashes. When pressing the off there are around 5 rapid red flashes.
Refitted the new receiver and it works fine with its fob.
The part number for the new unit is VPLAX0061 - how does that number compare with your new one Tintenter?

LR036695 is the current receiver and is the AC version.
I have had quite a few of these and only had one faulty receiver that wouldn't pair, Dan swapped it no problem.Bodsys Brake Bible
