I removed the time heat control from my 2010 HSE and fitted it to the new 2016 HSE Lux as the dealer had programmed the CCF before delivery foc.
However it turned out that although the fly lead is the same moulded plug on both cars, the 2010 receiver was not compatatble with the 2016MY so the fbh could not be fired up from the remote.

They enabled it along with tow electrics prior to handing the car over.
I fitted the fbh receiver but it didn't activate. They had the car back for a few days for other faults and tried to get the receiver to work then decided the part number had changed between 2010 and 2016 models.
I must swop receivers and see what happens!

Porkies
Work not carried out
The order forms certainly had it on to activate - tow electrics work as they should with rear park sensor and approaching vehicle warning in mirrors deactivated .
Bearing in mind the new unit has the same socket as the old one its hard to beleive they are not the same.
From what you have said, I will swop them over tomorrow and see what works. Just hope I can reach without removing the panel again.
If it works then there will be some questions to be asked.
Will up date once done

I use the same receiver part for all d4 installs I do, from 2009 D4 right through to 2016.
Tintenter, I haven't looked on BBS site for a while, but is the MSV2 ok for 2015 D4? Thought there was some issue a while back, but I can't confirm as I've not looked. Bodsys Brake Bible

The receiver was removed about 4 weeks before being refitted to the new car.
During the period of having no power connected could it loose communication with the remote key fob?
