I have updated my Discovery page on my website to give the current details about what 2012 Discovery 4 models are now available (there have been some major reductions in taxation!).

Thanks for that info
I had heard that the road tax was set to drop in the new year, from the whopping €2,200.00 down to around where it used to be, prior to July '08.
So that is certainly good news & puts the D4 back in my sights again 8)
One question though......
You are listing the Crew cab as attracting a tax rate of €1,293.00 & the passenger version taxed at €1,050.00. Is this correct, or should it be the other way round ?

It was €2,100.....
No! It is the right way around believe it or not! It had been hoped that the Crew Cab could be commercially taxed, but the Revenue have scuppered this, apparently. Being an N1 vehicle means it is taxed on engine size, whereas the HSE has dropped a tax band due to the 224g/km emissions.... But the savings, and the fact that the VAT can be reclaimed, makes up for this.
What is unclear at this time is the precise spec/pricing - i.e. is it going to be available in just XE spec with extras or also in HSE. I have been suggesting that they should bring it in base form and allow customers to add spec as they wish - especially as the lead time has come down to 6 weeks....... 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Mmmmm, all very interesting. Thanks for the additional info
The one thing that was really stopping me from even considering moving from D3 to D4 was the ridiculous tax rate that came into play back in '08. . I had heard that this was due to change, but honestly hadn't held out much hope.
But I must say the information you posted gives a ray of hope

Agreed, the €2,100 road tax was a result of Green party influence, and look what happened to that party in the General Election earlier this year!!!! 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial
