D4 SDV6 Exhaust Diameter

Hi Guys,

Been scouring the web and the forum to find the answer to this, but no joy. I wanted to know if anyone knows what the diameter of the exhaust tails on the stock SDV6 exhaust is?

My reason for asking is that I am looking at potential exhaust tips to fit, and wanted to know what the current tail diameter is so that I can assess what might fit from stock (or need a stepping connector), and what size I might be looking at if I go down the fully custom route.

I think it was 65mm OD - I know I couldn't get my old tailpipe trims from the D3 onto the D4.

I have some from Custon Chrome on mine - pics in gallery

Al Volvo XC90 B5 Plus Dark
Gone - MY18 D5 HSE - Corris on 22's with Black Pack
Now gone - MY16 D4 SE Tech, Loire Blue, Almond Leather, Privacy, plus some other goodies.
Old - MY12 D4 SDV6 XS Auto - Ipanema Sand with Almond Leather - Plus other niceties, and D4.com sticker
Older - D3 TDV6 XS Auto - Lugano Teal with Almond Leather, 20" Stormers, Shiny Tailpipes, DVD/TV - and obligatory D3 sticker
Ancient - D3 TDV6 S - Tonga with Ebony, 20" Stormers, satnav & DVD

Cheers mate, I have seen yours in the gallery, and I will look to contact them as they are fairly local, but I want squarer tips, something that goes with the boxier car shape.

Is there a big concern of stepping down from 65 to 55mm to join an exhaust tip?

The guy at Custom Chrome in Nuneaton will make some for you if you want - really helpfull guy there.

They are the folks who used to make this stuff for LR.

I was just happy with what they'd got in stock.

Did you speak to someone in particular? What sort of price is it for the work you had done, and will they cut the bumper if needed, or do they not touch body work alterations?

so - on the ones on ebay - you need the inlet to be curved up to get onto the tailpipe, and with those in the pic, as in the inlet is centered, you'd find you have one of the outlets outside the bumper line.

Custom Chrome is more of a workshop than a shop - they hand build custom exhaust systems, as well as make the age old cheery bomb exhausts.

They would do whatever you wanted I would have thought, for a price. I just wanted the trims, so after trying a couple out in the car park, went with the round ones they had in stock. I fitted and trimmed the bumper myself at home.

Its easier just to drop in and speak to the boss man.

Cheers mate, will give them a call.

The eBay ones were just for the tip style rather than the actual fitting style, if that makes sense. In any case, I will drop them a call and pay them a visit.
