D4 SDV6 - Starter Motor - How I do I get the 13mm nut on?

I took the cable off my starter motor to get some slack when replacing my alternator, now I can't work out how to get the nut back on.

I am using a socket on extensions from the front.

I can get the nut up to the starter bolt but it seems like the angle is not quite right to screw on. It's tight there.

Any tips are appreciated.
