Not every dealer does the fixed price servicing. Also even when you factor in fuel it’s still working out cheaper than the dealer

I was quoted (today) £1600+ for the wife’s disco, 7yr service, Heritage Land Rover in Cheltenham, they did our disco 3 for £560 a few years back, same service, so why the exorbitant price?
Anyone know of an independent doing the 7yr service for a reasonable price?
Cheers

Main dealer quoted my £1025 for 7 yr service. Inc courtesy car for a couple of days. Special offer etc etc. Normally get 20% of all servicing anyway. Seemed ok to me , Indy cheaper and was nearly booking but need to take a day of work due to location and carless for the day. So bit the bullet on the difference. To be fair service from the main dealer has been great the last couple of times.

I was quoted £360 for my 80,000 service by my local dealer, just make sure they have registered you on the 3+ year old vehicle scheme. MY18 RRS Autobiography Fuji White

Thanks for the replies, we are on their books for the 3+ year service scheme, I don’t mind paying a fair price for the work but I see Listers in Hereford is advertising the same service for £1300, which is £300 less but still extortionate really, considering the £560 I paid a few years ago, I’m considering flogging the Discovery and ditching Land Rover altogether, bunch of sharks.

None of the dealers up here are on the fixed price servicing scheme. The 7yr service is probably the most expensive you will pay on the Disco ( I hope so ) Previos services have come in at just over £500 . Which is expensive compared to other cars I suppose. They are not cheap cars to run or purchase.

All done and dusted
Can’t recommend JAS Landrover highly enough. For all those needing work done give them a call you won’t be disappointed
